Job Description-
Need Local NY Candidates
We need a GIS Specialist who will develop software and/or implement the automation of workflow processes as part of the modernized NYS GIS content and hosting platform scripting of new processes and testing of web services.
Job Duties:
Configuring and working with databases and developing functions and queries.
Developing testing and deploying GIS software and GIS datasets.
Developing scripts and/or object orient programming (python preferred).
Running GIS data extract transform load (ETL) workflows manually or through scheduled automation including triggers actions indicators notifications and logging.
Testing and troubleshooting technical issues with GIS database scripts tools and/or workflows.
Required Skills 8 10 years:
Experience in configuring and working with databases developing functions and queries.
Experience developing GIS software and GIS datasets then testing and deploying.
Experience in developing scripts and or object orient programming python preferred.
Experience in running GIS data ETL workflows manually or through schedule including triggers actions indicators notifications and logging.
Experience in testing and troubleshooting technical issues with GIS databases scripts tools and or workflows.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in geography math computer science or related.
A minimum of 8 - 10 years of experience.
An equivalent combination of advanced education training and experience will be considered
