Purpose of the position
As a Junior Student Recruitment Marketing Specialist you will support the promotion of our Bachelors and Masters programs in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry. You will be responsible for organizing student recruitment events helping to tell our story to prospective students aid in retaining our own students for a Masters and contributing to the growth of a diverse and talented student community at the TU/e Department of Chemical Engineering and Chemistry. You work within a larger context with other colleagues to enhance the reputation of the university through events and (online) communication.
Your challenges
Assist in developing implementing and coordinating marketing campaigns across digital platforms to reach prospective students nationally and internationally. Work closely with department student ambassadors and the university marketing team to create engaging content support recruitment events and enhance our (online) presence.
- You actively manage the measurability of your activities and ensure that you are always aware of the state of affairs regarding inflow and advancement.
Where youll work
You will join a motivated and collaborative team within the Education and Student Affairs team of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Chemistry. Together we combine education research and outreach to build an inspiring learning environment. Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Marketing Communication Education or a related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply).
- Some internships or volunteer experience in marketing or communications is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of digital tools and social media platforms.
- Strong communication skills in English and Dutch (C1 or higher).
- Eagerness to learn creativity and ability to work well in a team.
- Experience in writing and editing (web) texts and/or production supervision of other means for study information that connect with the target audience.
- Interest in science and technology and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.

Conditions of employment
An exciting position within an international yet personal university. You are right in the middle of the students on a green campus within walking distance of the central station. Besides beautiful architecture you will find varied workplaces and excellent sports facilities. This is a temporary position for a duration of 12 months covering the sick leave of a colleague. We offer a supportive and dynamic work environment where you can develop your skills and gain valuable experience in higher education marketing. We also offer you:
- A monthly salary of minimum 3382 to maximum 4484 for full-time employment depending on your knowledge and experience (scale 8 collective labour agreement for Dutch Universities).
- In addition to vacation pay a structural end-of-year bonus of 8.3%.
