Bestica is hiring an Anesthesiology Physician to provide services at the US Department of Veteran Affairs located in Harry S. Truman Memorial VAMC 800 Hospital Drive Columbia MO 65201

Location: Harry S. Truman Memorial VAMC 800 Hospital Drive Columbia MO 65201
Shifts: 0700 to 1630. Monday through Friday (Will be determined after selection)
Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements:
- Shall have a current license to practice medicine in any State Territory or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia when services are performed onsite on VA property.
- Contractors physician(s) shall be Board Certified /Board Eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) and be currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalency
- Assessment of consultation for and preparation of patients for anesthesia including
- permeance of history and physical exams
- Medical management of patients during peri-operative period who are under physical and emotional distress
- Management of post anesthetic recovery including procedural pain
- Supervise and administer general anesthesia
- Supervise and administer regional anesthesia
- Anesthesia for cardiac operations utilizing cardiopulmonary bypass
- Ventilator management
- Metabolic/hemodynamic management
- Monitored anesthesia care MAC
- Moderate sedation
- NORAM
- Diagnostic therapeutic blocks
- Intraoperative TEE
- Non-invasive cardiovascular evaluation including electrocardiography
