API 510/570/653 Engineering Consultant Mechanical Integrity - Richmond, VA - Permanent

ATS is seeking an API 510/570/653 Engineering Consultant to support our Mechanical Integrity Department at ATS Richmond VA office located in Rockville VA. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week with the potential for overtime.

Responsibilities:

• Perform field inspections of industrial equipment (storage tanks pressure vessels and piping systems).
• Generate calculations in accordance with API ASME STI etc.
• Generate written reports utilizing MS Word and MS Excel.
• Develop AutoCAD drawings or isometrics.
• Manage projects ranging from $5000 - $100000.
• Manage client relationships.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Structural Engineering or closely related field preferred.
• 5 years of experience in Mechanical Integrity.
• Must be willing to travel 30% out of office.
• Any of the following certifications: API-510 API-570 API-653 CWI.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word Excel PowerPoint
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks preferred.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) and /or desired to acquire Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.

Work Conditions:

• Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
• Work from heights on scaffolding ladders elevated platforms man-baskets etc.
• Work in confined spaces which will require crawling stooping climbing etc.
• Work in around operating equipment and industrial environments.
• Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners penetrants film developing chemicals etc.
