Responsibilities:

  • Support IDD (Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) clients in reaching the goals outlined in their Service Plan.
  • Participate in community integration activities and social engagements with clients.
  • Provide companionship and engaging activities such as reading and taking walks.
  • Accompany clients to appointments when necessary.
  • Engage in team meetings to share insights about the clients progress.
  • Help maintain a safe clean and healthy environment through light housekeeping tasks as needed.
  • You will collaborate closely with clients families and other professionals to ensure that each individuals needs and preferences are met with respect and dignity.
  • Effective communication and empathy are vital for building strong trusting relationships with those you support.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Should have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must hold a valid drivers license and possess a reliable vehicle with current auto insurance
  • Must be able to successfully complete various background checks
  • Availability to work every other weekend on holidays and participate in an on-call rotation is required
