Position Purpose

To provide guidance mentorship and skill leadership in a diverse team and fast-paced metal fabrication environment. This role combines hands-on machine operation technical expertise and leadership to drive high standards in quality and production.

Position Responsibilities

Promote a positive and respectful team culture grounded in cooperation and mutual support.
Operate and troubleshoot CNC machines (pipe cutter structural cutter clipper) with precision and safety.
Oversee daily workflow prioritize tasks and ensure adherence to production schedules.
Collaborate with Project Foreman and maintenance teams to resolve mechanical and production issues.
Track inventory and managing tool and equipment usage.
Provide hands-on leadership for CNC operations while mentoring fellow tradespeople.
Act as a resource and go-to person for technical troubleshooting training and guidance.
Ensure work is completed safely efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

CNC machine operation experience preferred but not required willing to train and invest in employees.
Demonstrated ability to be part of a team.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Interest and ability to learn practice and teach Lean principles and values.
Ability to multi-task.
Demonstrated ability to operate and teach other employees the safe operation of tools equipment and material handling practices.
Proven communication skills.
Stand kneel crouch and lift for extended periods of time.
Work at elevated heights confined spaces and in a fabrication shop environment.
