Plumber II - Warren Correctional Institution

1. Performing journey level duties in the installation maintenance and repair of air gas water and waste disposal systems.
2. Performing routine work assignments are in the nature of position as well as needed repair and assignments involving work of special or unusual nature that are accompanied by specific instructions.
3. Exercising considerable independence in performance of routine work but unprecedented assignments are usually discussed with or supervised by foreman.
4. Being reviewed by foreman through inspection of work in progress and on the basis of satisfactory operation of equipment repaired or installed.

About Warren Correctional Institution:

Warren Correctional Institution is a medium custody facility located in Manson NC which houses approximately 725 male offenders. The facility provides offender labor to one Correction Enterprises operation located off site: The Janitorial Product Plant manufactures a variety of cleaning products soap and plastic bags that are sold to various agencies/companies.

The Division of Institutionsis one of the divisions in DAC andemploys a variety of staff operates 56 institutions and is responsible for the care and custody of approximately 30000 incarcerated individuals across North Carolina. Our division categorizes the institutions into 3 custody levels which include minimum medium and close. The Division of Institutions has a duty to provide a secure and safe environment along with the proper care and supervision for every individual in our custody.

• Per NC General Statute 143B-972.1 applicants hired into a position certified as a criminal justice officer or justice officer are required to electronically submit fingerprints to the NC State Bureau of Investigation for a state and national criminal history record check and enrollment in the FBIs Next Generation Identification System: Criminal Justice Record of Arrest and Prosecution Background Service (RAP Back). This is in addition to submitting fingerprints during the application process.
