Job Description
We are looking to hire a Technical Architect right now. If youre a talented engineer a self-starter interested in solving real-world problems we may be the perfect place for you to come and do the best work of your life. You will be joining us on the ground floor so this is a high impact opportunity.
You will be responsible for :
- Helping decide the overall architecture of the product. We run a complex multi-tenant microservice architecture. Right from choosing the communication layer between these services to choosing the frameworks to incorporate in the existing stack you will impact critical decisions
- Logistics is a complicated ecosystem. This sometimes means complex requirements and figuring out how to make it simple for the user and in implementation. You will need a lot of problem-solving capabilities.
- Leading a team of highly enthusiastic developers into the battle zone. We are in it to win it and getting the team to follow a goal while not getting overwhelmed with the complexities is something which is absolutely required.
- Ensuring development of a highly scalable fully extensible system.
- Uncovering the possibilities of artificial intelligence at every level and integrating the algorithms in every feature
- Leading the Tech culture and standards. Aligning the team about the best practices for coding reviews testing and deployments.
Providing options: Never say thats impossible or we can never do that. Instead you find options and can communicate them to everyone in the company.
You should have :
- 5 years of experience in developing complex systems and service communications.
- Lead a team of developers through the battlezone
- Extensive experience in the following is a must-
- Backend Languages - Ruby Python Java Javascript
- Databases ( MongoDB Postgres etc )
- Message queues - RabbitMQ Kafka google pubsub etc
- Rest Framework & Graphql
- Analytics gathering tools ( Newrelic Grafana Nagios Segment etc)
- Bachelors / Masters Degree in Computer Science
Good To have:
Knowledge of the following:
- Deployment frameworks ( Docker Kubernetes CI-CD )
- Big data frameworks ( Hadoop/HBase )
You should be:
- Calm under pressure have a great work ethic and communicate well
- Self-aware and always pushing for a higher standard. Always proactive open to new ideas and personal feedback
- Antifragile: with every failure you should become stronger and better.
- Detail oriented and absolutely intolerant to compromise or sub-optimal shortcuts
- Problem solver with a global mindset
