Job Summary
The Engineering Proposal Analyst (Co-op) will primarily work on updating specification documents for medium voltage metal-enclosed switchgear for S&Cs power utility customers in Canada and US. This is a great opportunity to learn from experienced engineers who will provide all the necessary training to be successful during your work term.
Work Term: Winter 2026 8 months term (Jan - Aug).
Work Term Arrangement: Hybrid 4 days WFH.
Responsibilities
- Develop basic electrical & mechanical design knowledge of metal-enclosed switchgear.
- Review with the support of experienced team members power utility conditions of service documents for assigned territories to understand their individual service entrance requirements.
- Prepare summary specification documents for the utilities & major customers which S&C serves.
- Assist with reviewing and preparing proposal documents for medium voltage metal-enclosed switchgear.
- Job-shadow engineering team members in multiple departments to gain an overview of the work process flow.
- Perform additional duties to assist the engineering team as needed.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a registered post-secondary co-op program in Electrical Industrial Engineering.
- Available for an 8 Month Co-op Work Term beginning in Winter 2026.
- Knowledge of the basics of power system protection & control.
- Self-starter with excellent communication time management and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well within a team environment.
- Fast-learner with an aptitude for learning company-specific software.
- Proficient with Microsoft software specifically Excel Word and MS Project.
