Field Service Engineer Gates Barriers & Security Systems
Location: Covering the South East (ideally based within 20 miles of Harlow)
Salary: 35000 basic uncapped overtime on-call allowance (OTE )

Were working with a leading engineering firm that designs installs and maintains physical security systems across the UK. Theyre looking for a Field Service Engineer to join their growing team supporting both installation and ongoing maintenance.
This role is ideal for someone with a solid mechanical and electrical background who is happy working outdoors occasionally in challenging environments (e.g. drilling working in pits getting dirty). Plenty of weekend work and overtime is available and full product training will be provided.
Package and Benefits:
35000 base salary
Overtime at 1.3x after 40 hours on weekdays
Uncapped overtime and weekend work available
On-call rota with generous allowances
22 days holiday bank holidays (rising to 25 after 2 years)
Company van (business use only) tools PPE mobile phone and uniform provided
Varied hands-on role with long-term progression opportunities
Field Services Engineer Responsibilities:
Install service and repair physical security equipment such as gates barriers blockers and turnstiles
Attend breakdowns and perform fault-finding and diagnostics
Take part in a 1-in-5 (moving to 1-in-6) on-call rota with an average of 3 callouts per week
Complete electronic job sheets using a tablet or smartphone
Deliver excellent customer service on site and communicate clearly with clients
Travel across the South East and occasionally further afield including overnight stays where required
Field Service Engineer Requirements:
Based in the South East ideally within a 20-mile radius of Harlow
Strong mechanical skillset hands-on background is essential
Electrical knowledge is an advantage (e.g. 18th Edition 3-phase or 24v DC/AC systems)
Full UK driving licence (preferably clean)
Physically fit and comfortable with manual work outdoor environments and confined spaces
Willing to travel stay away overnight when required and work weekends when required
Able to pass a safety-critical medical and face fit test (clean-shaven required for P3 mask)
Must be British-born (due to site clearance requirements)
Must have no criminal convictions (security clearance required)
