SVI Trucks a family-owned leader in custom fire and emergency vehicles for over 50 years is seeking an organized and proactive Regional Sales Manager to join our sales team. Based in Fort Collins Colorado SVI Trucks designs and manufactures highly specialized apparatus including rescues pumpers tenders command units and wildland fire apparatus.
Position Overview:
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for driving sales growth and market expansion of SVI Trucks within their assigned territory. This position supports and strengthens the dealer network builds and maintains customer relationships and develops strategies that generate new sales opportunities. The RSM develops and strengthens dealer and customer relationships serving as a critical liaison between the factory dealer network and end users.
Regional Sales Manager Responsibilities:
- Specify configure and quote apparatus for dealers and direct customers using sales software.
- Manage the territory sales pipeline to ensure a consistent flow of qualified opportunities and growth.
- Support dealers in achieving and exceeding territory sales goals.
- Develop and maintain strong account relationships acting as the voice of the customer within SVI.
- Maintain and expand existing customer accounts while identifying new sales opportunities.
- Conduct sales presentations and provide product training for dealers and end users.
- Travel regularly within the territory to support the dealer network and customers.
- Collaborate with Marketing on initiatives product offerings and campaigns that drive sales growth.
- Leverage social media to promote products and highlight sales initiatives.
- Represent SVI Trucks at state and regional conferences and trade shows to maximize exposure and ROI.
- Ensure clear and consistent communication between the factory dealer network and customers.
- Attend customer inspections and plant tours as an SVI representative.
- Provide internal sales support by:
- Attending pre-construction meetings.
- Reviewing specifications and change orders to ensure builds meet customer requirements.
- Attending mid-point and final inspections as required.
- Assisting management with refining sales processes and procedures.
- Reviewing quoting software for accuracy and usability.
- Other duties as assigned
Skills & Special Requirements:
- Strong presentation skills and deep knowledge of the Fire/Rescue market.
- Understanding of competitors and extensive knowledge of fire apparatus products and components.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word Excel Outlook) and digital platforms.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings blueprints and schematics.
- Familiarity with quoting software (preferably QuoteWriter and FT Builder) and working knowledge of NFPA standards.
- Experience with CRM systems (Maximizer Microsoft CRM Salesforce etc.).
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check physical agility test and drug screening
- Valid Class B CDL (or ability to obtain within 3 months of employment).
Education & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in emergency vehicle sales fire/rescue industry or related emergency equipment sales.
- Preferred 35 years of proven sales success in emergency equipment or vehicle sales.
