Job Summary:

The Senior Research & Data Analyst will be responsible for managing a variety of data sources and conducting research initiatives under the direction of ADA Health Policy Institute (HPI) leadership. This role involves collaboration with HPI researchers on specific data queries providing periodic updates on key statistics from multiple data sources and contributing to projects such as survey development and research paper writing. The analyst will also play a major role in building improving and updating key US and international datasets related to the dental sector.

Must Have:

  • Bachelors degree OR 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with coding in SAS or similar programming language building datasets merging multiple files in varying formats and managing and analyzing claims data or similar large datasets.
  • Excellent analytical interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate prioritize and present.
  • Be a self-starter and results focused.
  • Proficiency with SAS or similar statistical programming language and MS Office 365.
  • Occasional travel to attend conferences and/or to present research once per year for 1-3 nights/trip.
  • Position may require before or after-hours work.

Nice to Have:

  • Proficiency in other programming languages such as SQL R and/or Python.
  • Experience with STATA or other software.
  • Experience with ETL tools such as Business Objects Data Services or Azure Data Factory.
  • Familiarity with online survey tools.
  • Knowledge about the latest AI tools for analyzing data.
