Job Description

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Due Diligence Associate Manager in Financial Crimes Operations. This role manages a team of Quality Control professionals with a focus on meeting service level expectations resolving quality issues driving efficiencies and strengthening the overall control environment. In this role you will:

  • Supervise a team of individuals who are responsible for executing activities associated with conducting quality reviews associated with due diligence requirements of bank customer profiles
  • Oversee a moderate degree of complexity and risk to determine appropriateness of Quality Control processes to ensure timely completion quality and compliance
  • Own the client onboarding and customer due diligence process by engaging with execution teams relationship team and applicable third parties
  • Function as a subject matter expert for the Consumer & Small Business Banking workstream
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
  • Work with due diligence leadership team to implement department policies procedures and reporting to maximum risk while providing exceptional partnering with upstream/downstream stakeholders
  • Establish performance standards evaluate performance and train and coach staff
  • Leverage interpretation of policies procedures and compliance requirements to make business decisions
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals
  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
  • Provide management support related to implementation of procedures controls analytics and trend analysis to ensure comprehensive quality control programs


Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years of Due Diligence risk management client service operations support or business process management experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience training military experience education
  • 1 years of Leadership experience


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience conducting Due Diligence reviews in Wealth & Investment Management (WIM)
  • Experience with Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) programs
  • Experience with Quality Control processes
  • Experience leading others acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to resolve mid to complex escalations
  • Experience directing activities of team members performance management career development coaching and mentoring
  • Ability to collaborate with geographically dispersed teams
  • Analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • Ability to manage confidential material in a professional manner
  • Ability to articulate moderately complex concepts in a clear manner
  • Ability to prioritize tasks achieve goals and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity and maintain momentum driving for results and clarity in uncertain situations
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Intermediate verbal written and interpersonal communication skill

    Pay Range

    Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements skills experience or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

    $77000.00 - $133000.00
