Position Summary
This position is ideal for individuals who have an interest in the Postproduction aspect of media. It requires a highly motivated individual with attention to detail to understand the requirements of the clients and transform the Digital Media asset accordingly. This means understanding the fundamental nature of the editing tools for modifying and transcoding tools to make the final deliverable. The individual needs to have great organizational skills and troubleshooting skills. If you have a passion for Media in the technical aspects (like codecs and formats) and if you get a drive-by solving Media related technical puzzles this position is for you.
Outcomes and Accomplishments
As a Digital Production Technician you will:
Individual will edit capture compress and quality assure audio and video program material for subsequent theatrical and episodic releases.
Video dubbing editing standards conversion pre-processing compression and quality assurance testing.
Audio editing restoration conversion encoding and quality assurance testing.
Communicate and interact with the Production Manager offloading units and associated departments regarding issues related to the project.
Ensure on-time and accurate completion of projects.
What You Bring:
Good knowledge of Office packages such as Word Excel etc.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
A keen interest in media postproduction is .
Keen interest in working with different types of software and hardware is .
Desire to learn new concepts and cross-train with other departments.
Excellent editing tools knowledge like Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro 7. Da Vinci Resolve is a plus
Efficiently utilize various audio and video production tools (audio/video tape machines compression systems encoders decoders converters pre-processing systems etc.).
Exposure to transcoding tools like Carbon coder Rhozet SelenioFlex Digital Rapids Vantage and Hybrik is a plus.
To perform work order-based assignments at a high level of precision with an eye for technical details and content quality standards
A dedicated and well-rounded individual with the ability to work well under pressure as part of a team with tight deadlines.
