We are currently seeking aJourneyman System Administratorto support operations in Lakehurst NJ. This is a full-time CONUS position requiring an active DoD Secret clearance.

What Youll Do

System & Network Management: Oversee and manage the daily operation of computer systems servers and network infrastructure ensuring optimal performance availability and reliability. Monitor system health and implement necessary updates patches and enhancements.

Implementation & Maintenance: Lead the planning implementation and maintenance of both hardware and software infrastructure. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to system configurations hardware failures software bugs and network disruptions in a timely manner.

Technical Support & Mentorship: Provide advanced technical support to junior administrators guiding them in resolving system-related issues ensuring best practices and assisting in the development of their skills. Act as a subject matter expert to elevate team knowledge and capabilities.

Collaboration with IT Teams: Work closely with other IT teams (security networking development) to optimize system performance improve security posture and ensure the seamless integration of new technologies. Collaborate to identify and resolve system bottlenecks and ensure smooth system migrations and upgrades.

System Security: Implement and enforce security protocols policies and best practices across systems to safeguard against threats and vulnerabilities. Monitor systems for potential security breaches and take corrective actions when necessary.

Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting: Leverage advanced system administration knowledge and strong problem-solving skills to identify analyze and resolve complex technical issues. Provide solutions for system failures network disruptions and performance degradation.

Continuous Improvement: Contribute to ongoing improvements in system architecture infrastructure and network protocols. Identify opportunities for process optimization automation and system upgrades to enhance efficiency and security.

What Youll Bring

Required Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

BS/BA in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or related scientific or technical disciplinewith a minimum of 3 years of system administration experience.

Certifications:

Eligible to obtain and keep active a DoD Secret security clearance.

Proficient with modern IT tools and infrastructure technologies

Travel & Passport

Some overnight stays possible.

Work Environment

Compliance with vaccination and medical requirements for TDY/OCONUS roles as per Vaccine Recommendations by AOR .

Office setting:

Primarily an office-based role in Lakehurst NJ

Standard desk/computer work with flexibility for walking and movement on site

Must be able to work in an office environment sitting at a desk looking at a computer for most of the workday.

Work is physically comfortable; the employee has discretion about sitting walking standing etc.

May be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.
