Our client is a well-established mid-sized commercial electrical contractor based in Milford CT with over 20 years of experience serving commercial institutional and industrial clients. Their work spans multi-residential housing commercial and industrial facilities healthcare educational facilities retail and more.
We are seeking a Project Manager experienced with Commercial Electrical jobs. This individual will lead day-to-day project management for jobs ranging from $300K to $4M and assist in estimating for smaller projects and change orders. We are hiring immediately and looking for someone who is hands-on field-savvy and ready to hit the ground running.
Schedule & Work Environment:
- Monday through Friday
- 60% office-based 40% on job sites across CT
- Reports to the Head of Construction
- Must be comfortable managing multiple active jobs
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple commercial and industrial electrical projects across the state of Connecticut
- Coordinate with foremen subcontractors clients and vendors to ensure timely and efficient project delivery
- Attend weekly job meetings and visit job sites regularly (company vehicle provided)
- Handle small project and change order estimating using McCormick software
- Review scope schedule materials labor needs and change requests
- Maintain constant communication with the Head of Construction and ensure updates are tracked and communicated clearly
- Uphold safety standards and ensure OSHA compliance on job sites
- Deliver jobs on time within budget and with minimal errors
Requirements:
4 years of experience in project management within the commercial electrical industry
Must hold a valid E-2 electrical license in Connecticut
- Must have or be willing to obtain OSHA 30 certification
Strong field background required this is not a purely office-based role
Estimating experience required for small-scale jobs and change orders
Proficient with project coordination and scheduling
Familiarity with McCormick estimating software is a plus
Strong communication leadership and organizational skills
