Job Summary
Physical Therapist Acute Rehab (Permanent Role)
Location: Fort Pierce FL 34945
Shift: 12 hr Days 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to assess physical and functional capabilities.
- Develop implement and modify individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other care providers.
- Deliver purposeful skilled therapeutic interventions to restore function and mobility.
- Educate patients and families/caregivers on home exercise programs use of therapeutic equipment and rehab expectations.
- Monitor patient progress adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve goals.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure consistent effective care delivery.
- Prioritize caseload daily determining appropriate staffing needs and managing patient handoffs.
- Document all patient interactions assessments treatments and progress in compliance with facility standards.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Masters or Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Licensure/Certifications:
- Current and valid Physical Therapy License (Florida).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist in an inpatient or acute care setting.
