About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Integration) to lead the design and implementation of scalable secure integration services that connect our internal systems with third-party platforms. You will own the full lifecycle of integration services-including APIs connectors and event streams-ensuring they meet high standards of reliability performance and security.

As a senior engineer you will play a key role in setting integration standards mentoring engineers and collaborating with product platform and security teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Responsibilities

Design & Build scalable and secure integration services (APIs connectors event streams) that connect internal and external platforms.
Develop Production-Ready Services with strong guarantees including idempotency retries rate limiting and robust error handling.
API & Event-Driven Design: Define and implement APIs (OpenAPI/REST/GraphQL) and event-driven architectures using technologies like Kafka Kinesis or RabbitMQ.
Reliability & Observability: Ensure systems meet SLAs with strong monitoring logging tracing incident response and automated recovery strategies.
DevOps & Automation: Own CI/CD pipelines testing automation and infrastructure-as-code practices (e.g. Terraform CloudFormation).
Collaboration & Mentorship: Drive integration best practices perform design/code reviews and mentor other engineers to raise technical standards across the team.
Cross-Functional Work: Partner with product managers platform teams and security engineers to deliver secure reliable and customer-focused integrations.

Qualifications

Experience: 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
Backend Expertise: Proficiency in at least one backend language (Java Go Python ).
Distributed Systems: Strong understanding of distributed architectures event-driven systems and integration patterns.
DevOps & Cloud: Hands-on experience with CI/CD containers (Docker Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS GCP or Azure).
Integration Skills: Knowledge of API lifecycle management authentication/authorization (OAuth JWT etc.) and event streaming technologies.
Problem-Solving: Proven ability to design resilient fault-tolerant systems that scale.
Collaboration: Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to mentor and drive technical standards.

Nice to Have

Experience with security and compliance requirements in integrations.
Familiarity with data pipelines and real-time processing.
Contributions to open-source integration frameworks or standards.
