Job Description
Position: Paint Lab Technician / Paint Seibi (Paint Lab) Technician
- Conduct tests and evaluations of new paint equipment and materials.
- Perform paint testing including taking color readings and other measurements.
- Operate and maintain robotic application equipment as the lab lacks a dedicated maintenance function.
- Support model projects and ensure new equipment is functional.
Plan testing conditions and interact with Kawasaki robots.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience is preferred but open to recent college graduates with relevant paint and/or robotic programming experience.
- Robotic programming and maintenance.
- Familiarity with Allen Bradley and Toyopuc systems.
- 3D programming experience is a plus and will be needed for future projects.
- Note: Paint experience is considered a plus but not required.
- Able to multitask prioritize and manage time efficiently
- Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge
- Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
- Flexible and able to multitask on several different aspects of a project or on multiple projects
- Able to take initiative to recommend projects product improvements or cost reductions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 2 years technical degree or equivalent work experience.
- Programming will be a huge plus for this role.
- Familiarity with AB & Toyopuc .
- Experience with automated robotic paint shop applications
- Experience with paint manufacturing formulation or testing
- Additional related certifications
- Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience
