Job Summary:
The State of South Carolina Department of Admin is seeking two SAP Programming Consultants to support increased workload for SCEIS procurement and modernization projects. The consultants will participate in agile and development activities working within a DevOps model to ensure end-to-end quality. This is a 12-month on-site contract position in Columbia SC with a possibility of extension.
The State of South Carolina Department of Admin is seeking two SAP Programming Consultants to support increased workload for SCEIS procurement and modernization projects. The consultants will participate in agile and development activities working within a DevOps model to ensure end-to-end quality. This is a 12-month on-site contract position in Columbia SC with a possibility of extension.
Location: Columbia District of Columbia Washington United States
Responsibilities:
- Participates in all Agile activities (daily standups backlog refinement sprint demos/reviews sprint retrospectives).
- Participates in all development activities (solutioning development code reviews testing).
- Works to complete work item acceptance criteria and the team s definition of done.
- Works within the team s DevOps model and assumes responsibility for end-to-end quality of their work and support.
- Works with the development team architecture and stakeholders to design and enhance business and technical processes and solutions.

Required Skills & Certifications:
- 5 years of application development using solid object-oriented design principals and standards.
- 5 years of Java web development experience including SpringBoot Maven JUnit.
- 5 years of experience developing containerized applications (containerization).
- 5 years experience using Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline development backlog management etc.
- High School Diploma with 5 years of relevant experience
- 5 years of application development using solid object-oriented design principals and standards.
- 5 years of Java web development experience including SpringBoot Maven JUnit.
- 5 years of experience developing containerized applications (containerization).
- 5 years experience using Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline development backlog management etc.
- High School Diploma with 5 years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Azure or AWS integration services such as Azure API Management AWS API Gateway Azure EventGrid etc.
- Serverless services such as AWS Lambda Azure Functions Azure Container Apps AWS Fargate etc.
- AWS and/or Azure certifications.
- SAP SAP 4/HANA or Ivalua experience and/or experience with other ERP systems.

Special Considerations:
- 100% on-site work in Columbia SC Monday-Friday.
- Candidates must relocate to SC prior to starting the role.
