Position Overview

The Inventory Clerk (Contractor) plays a critical role in supporting warehouse operations by safely handling moving and storing hazardous and non-hazardous materials.

This role is temporary and focuses on maintaining accurate inventory records supporting production and shipping needs and ensuring inventory integrity through regular cycle counts and audits.

Key Responsibilities

Transport materials and goods between designated warehouse locations.
Pull and verify materials listed on production orders including pick tickets for repair sales and kitting.
Ensure proper labeling organization and storage of inventory items.
Perform cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain accurate inventory records.
Identify label and record inventory locations; report shortages and discrepancies.
Investigate and resolve inventory variances to support perpetual inventory accuracy.
Inspect incoming goods for damage; verify quantity and quality against purchase orders.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in warehouse or material handling preferred.
Basic understanding of inventory systems and cycle counting.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to lift and move heavy materials safely.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Familiarity with hazardous material handling procedures is a plus.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand walk bend and lift for extended periods.
Must be capable of lifting up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

Warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
