Job Title :- Surgical Tech - First Assist

Location :- 801 Middleford Road Seaford DE 19973

Duration :- Permanent full time

Shift :- Variable Shifts

Position Summary: As defined by the American College of Surgeons the Surgical First Assistant is a trained individual who is able to participate and actively assist the surgeon in completing the operation safely and expeditiously. The Surgical First Assist provides aid in exposure hemostasis and other technical functions that will help the surgeon carry out a safe operation with optimal results for the patient. The role of the Surgical First Assist provides immediate support to the surgeon and should be knowledgeable well rounded helpful and has a supportive team attitude.

Experience:

Minimum 2years Surgical Tech experience

Requirements:

CPR required
Graduate of a certified surgical tech program conducted by a community college vocation school or hospital school or relevant hospital -based training. Other experience and education may be considered
Current certification as a Certified First Assist by one of the Certifying bodies: American Board of surgical Assistants National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting national Surgical Assisting Association
