Job Summary

Class Summary


This position pays $30.00 per hour up to 29 hours per week. This is a part-time position with a maximum of 1508 hours per year and is not eligible for paid holidays leave or benefits.

Job Description:

This position will assist with technology projects related to The Department of Water Resources (DWR) hardware and software implementations upgrades and facility/plant infrastructure special these projects and implementations the Part-Time Technology Analyst will need to evaluate the business need versus the intended technology solution and coordinate all needed resources to accomplish the effort. Excellent communications skills and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Support and troubleshoot DWR software applications.
  • Develop and analyze functional specifications
  • Design efficient IT systems to meet business and technology needs
  • Integrate multiple systems as required to accomplish the business requirements
  • Gather feedback from business system owners and end users in order to develop the optimal solutions
  • Keep abreast of technology trends and developments


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a closely related field
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above
  • Valid Drivers License in State of residency


Other Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an IT Analyst IT Consultant or similar role
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience documenting technical requirements
  • Experience with technology infrastructure projects involving fiber network connectivity wireless access and general network connectivity
  • Proficiency in MS applications Visio PowerPoint Word and Excel
