POSITION:Job Coach/Paraeducator Rogers High School STARTING DATE:September 2025GENERAL DUTIES:In addition to the duties of a special education paraeducator the Paraeducator/Student Job Coach for Students with Disabilities will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse abilities in their transition from high school to the workforce. The primary responsibility is to work closely with students employers and educators to facilitate successful employment outcomes for students with TO:Rogers High School Principal and Executive Director of Student Services Health and WellbeingQUALIFICATIONS:Associates Degree preferred High School Diploma requiredJob Coach certificate required (must be maintained)Teacher Assistant Certificate requiredChauffeurs license requiredExperience working with students with disabilities preferably in a vocational or career counseling to explore multiple vocational training interpersonal and communication of relevant laws and regulations related to employment for individuals with to collaborate with educators employers and community :Individualized SupportProvide one-on-one or small group support to students with disabilities understanding their unique strengths challenges and career or contribute to personalized plans to enhance students employability skills considering their individual needs and ExplorationAssist students in exploring various career paths identifying potential job opportunities that align with their skills and with special education faculty and staff to integrate career exploration into individualized education plans (IEPs).Job Placement SupportBuild relationships with local employers to create or expand job opportunities for students with disabilities when onsite with student(s)Assist with coordinating internships work-study programs and job shadowing experiences to expose students to real-world work DevelopmentCollaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate skill-building activities into the for the inclusion and accommodation of students with disabilities in the workplace fostering an inclusive and supportive with employers to implement reasonable accommodations that enable students to perform their job duties ProgressRegularly assess and document students progress in skill development job placement and overall career feedback to students teachers and school staff on achievements and areas for EngagementAssist with developing partnerships with community organizations vocational rehabilitation services and disability advocacy groups to enhance support networks for and ReportingMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress job placements and program outcomesGenerate reports to demonstrate the impact of the job coaching programParaeducator Duties: Life Skills & Classroom SupportHelps students master equipment or instructional materials assigned by the with personal health needs (may include but not limited to toileting feeding dressing) as the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected for all REQUIREMENTS:Walking stooping reaching talking lifting (10-pound minimum) hearing standing kneeling carrying keyboarding seeing sitting and CONDITIONS:Inside or outside work with and around others work OF EMPLOYMENT:In Accordance with Council 94 CBA:Pay grade 8 6.5 hours per day plus 30 minute unpaid lunchHours depend on students needs but shall not exceed the hours as stated above
