Basic Job Functions:
- Safely operate overhead cranes forklifts and other equipment as needed.
- Learn various structural line positions including but not limited to: paint line plate shag tack-up seamer and iron worker.
- Read and interpret shop drawings.
- Perform tasks as directed by the Line Supervisor and/or the Line Group Leader.
- Understand order processing (shop releases and run orders).
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor Buildings Group Texas will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future).
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Be able to obtain at least 1G weld certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possess understanding of metal building systems fabrication.
- 25T 7.5T Flip-Rite and Hot Roll Crane Certifications.
- Forklift Certification.
