Job Title: IT Director
Department: Information Technology
Reports To: Executive Director
FLSA Status: Exempt 12 month position
Salary Grade: 12A ($88781-$110977-$133174/yr.

SUMMARY
Plans directs and manages the Information Technology Department in order to ensure the development and implementation of cost-effective systems and efficient computer operations to meet current and future decision-making requirements. The IT Director provides organization-wide direction in areas of policy and planning for technology by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Indicates the non-essential duties and responsibilities. Nothing in this job description restricts St. Labres right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
Recommends and develops plans for systems development and operations hardware and software purchases budget and staffing.
Manages the development implementation installation and operation of information and functional systems for the organization including organizational websites and facebook pages.
Develops implements and monitors technology information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy security and legal and regulatory compliance.
Negotiates and contracts with consultants technical personnel and vendors for services and products.
Provides support to end-users in the selection procurement usage and maintenance of applications and hardware.
Manages computer operation scheduling backup storage and retrieval functions.
Reviews reports of computer and peripheral equipment production malfunction and maintenance to determine costs and impact and address problems.
Develops maintains and tests disaster recovery plans.
Develops and maintains the IT budget.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises 2 to 4 employees in the IT Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing hiring and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree (B. S.) from a four-year college or university in computer science or related field (M.S. preferred); and one to two years of computer experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Experience in implementing hardware/software projects.
Broad knowledge of technical support in a Google current Windows desktop and server operating systems iOS and Android environment.
Experience implementing computer support policies and procedures.
Knowledge of educational use of computers in K-12 school system.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to communicate technical issues to senior-level management and non-technical users.
Excellent supervisory skills.
Respects the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ in private personal and public life.
Commitment to the mission of the Roman Catholic Church in Native American education.
Sensitivity to and appreciation of Native American people and their cultures.
Ability to serve as an appropriate role model for students.
CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS
Google or Microsoft Certifications preferred.
Valid Montana drivers license.
