Job Summary
Job Title: Child Care Assistant
Location: Various Positions Across St. Louis MO
Position Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and reliable Child Care Assistants to support teachers and caregivers in providing safe engaging and nurturing environments for children. These positions are available across multiple child care centers in the St. Louis area.
Responsibilities:
Assist lead teachers with daily classroom activities and lesson implementation
Supervise children to ensure a safe and supportive environment
Help with meals snacks and cleanup
Support children with basic needs such as diapering toileting and handwashing
Engage children in play learning activities and creative projects
Maintain a clean organized and welcoming classroom environment
Communicate effectively with staff children and parents
Follow all health safety and licensing regulations
Qualifications:
Previous experience working with children in a child care school or camp setting preferred
Ability to be flexible patient and attentive to childrens needs
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Must pass background check and meet state licensing requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; Child Development Associate (CDA) or related coursework preferred
Schedule & Pay:
Full-time and part-time positions available
Shifts vary by location
