POSITION SUMMARY/CLASS DESCRIPTION
BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
A variety of instructional fitness and aerobics classes of varying intensities are offered throughout the county such as: dance aerobics step aerobics circuit weight training aquatic Zumba kick boxing and toningESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
DUTIES:
- To teach aquatic water aerobics or fitness class consisting of various age groups and abilities.
- Must demonstrate proper workout techniques and safety procedures oversee use of facilities and keep records of class attendance.
- Must select own music and exercises to use in class.
- Sufficient skill in a specific area ability to develop a teaching plan for a diversified group of people ability to demonstrate effective aerobic exercise skills and to communicate directions effectively.
- Fitness Certification required and Aquatics Fitness certification required for all water fitness programs.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
EXPERIENCE:
At least two (2) years teaching and/or participating in/experience with specific program area.
EDUCATION:- Possess a nationally recognized certification or state license pertaining to the specific activity.
- Possess basic First Aid and CPR certification.
- Community first aid certification preferred but not required.
RATE OF PAY:
Salary commensurate with experience and certification.
Contingent - Professional
$16.00 - $38.00 per hour
