The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness hygiene and presentation throughout the property. This role involves supervising housekeeping staff managing schedules monitoring inventory and supplies and ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation regulations. The Housekeeping Manager also plays a key role in training and motivating the team to deliver excellent guest service and maintain a welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise train and coordinate housekeeping staff to ensure efficiency and quality service.
Inspect guest rooms public areas and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and adherence to company standards.
Develop work schedules and assign daily tasks to housekeeping team members.
Manage inventory of cleaning supplies linens and equipment placing orders as needed.
Handle guest requests feedback and complaints professionally and promptly.
Ensure compliance with health safety and sanitation standards.
Conduct regular staff performance evaluations and provide coaching or disciplinary actions when necessary.
Collaborate with other departments (e.g. Front Office Maintenance) to ensure seamless operations.
Prepare reports related to housekeeping performance costs and productivity.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in housekeeping or hospitality management (supervisory/managerial level preferred).
Strong leadership organizational and communication skills.
Knowledge of cleaning techniques equipment and health & safety standards.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed
