The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) is seeking a Curator Asian Art for the provision of a range of curatorial and administrative duties including exhibitions and displays and the development and collection management of the Asian Art collection.
As part of a team you will work alongside the Senior Curator to make a tangible and effective contribution to planning projects and activities.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
In consultation with the Senior Curator you will play a key role in the Asian Art curatorial department including:
To be successful you will have specialist knowledge of Asian art supplemented with a related tertiary qualification and direct or transferrable experience in curatorial practice exhibition and project management publishing or research within a related setting.
Demonstrated experience using collection management databases such as Vernon is highly desirable.
