Overview:
The Automotive Parts Transporter is responsible for the safe timely and accurate delivery and pickup of automotive parts supplies and materials between the dealership local vendors and other locations. This role ensures excellent customer service while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
Responsibilities:
- Safely transport automotive parts and materials to and from the dealership vendors and customers.
- Verify accuracy of parts orders before delivery or pickup.
- Load and unload parts carefully to prevent damage.
- Maintain delivery logs receipts and other required documentation.
- Ensure company vehicles are kept clean fueled and in good operating condition; report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Assist in organizing and stocking parts in the warehouse when not on deliveries.
- Provide professional courteous and prompt service to internal and external customers.
- Follow all traffic laws safety procedures and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Previous delivery or driving experience preferred (automotive parts experience a plus).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending reaching and carrying.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Customer-service oriented with good communication skills.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily driving and working in and out of vehicles.
- May involve indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Frequent interaction with dealership staff vendors and customers.
