Commercial Analyst

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Commercial Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting strategic decision-making by providing insightful analysis and recommendations on commercial activities pricing profitability and market trends. This role requires a strong understanding of financial principles excellent data analysis skills and the ability to communicate complex information to stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Reporting

Analyze sales revenue profitability and cost data to identify trends opportunities and risks.

Prepare regular and ad hoc reports dashboards and presentations for senior management.

Track and evaluate commercial performance against key performance indicators (KPIs).

Financial Modelling & Forecasting

Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenue margin and profitability.

Support budgeting and forecasting processes with data-driven insights and scenario analysis.

Pricing & Margin Management

Assess pricing structures recommend adjustments and evaluate the impact on margins and competitiveness.

Support contract negotiations by providing financial input and risk assessment.

Market & Competitor Analysis

Conduct market research to monitor competitor activity pricing and market trends.

Provide actionable insights to inform go-to-market strategies and commercial initiatives.

Business Case Development

Support the development of business cases for new products services or commercial partnerships.

Conduct cost-benefit analyses and ROI assessments to guide strategic investments.

Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate closely with Sales Marketing Finance and Operations teams to align commercial strategies.

Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear and compelling manner.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Business Administration Accounting or a related field required.

Masters degree or professional qualification (e.g. CFA CIMA CPA) is advantageous.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years experience in a commercial financial analysis or business analyst role.

Proven experience in data analysis financial modeling and reporting.

Experience in industry/sector is preferred.

Skills:

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau).

Strong analytical quantitative and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within deadlines.

Compensation

Annual Salary: $82000 $98000 per year commensurate with experience and qualifications.
