Purpose of this role
The main responsibilities of the Librarian are to support IMI participants to access and use academic and other materials to support them in optimizing their learning journey. IMI participants on Graduate Studies programmes are also registered students of UCC and have access to all of UCCs library resources so the IMI Knowledge Centre plays a key liaison role between IMI and UCC. The appointee will report to the Head of Programme Delivery and Events.

The IMI Knowledge Centre is the first port of call for IMI participants to seek guidance on their studies. The Knowledge Centre supports IMI programme participants through the design and delivery of information skills training and through the provision of supporting material online guides and tutorials. Specifically the librarian will:
This role will be based at Irish Management Institutes headquarters in Dublin Ireland. However occasional travel within Ireland and internationally may be required to attend meetings conferences and client engagements.
IMI recognizes the importance of flexible work arrangements and promotes a hybrid work model that combines in-person and virtual work. As the sole provider of library services the employee will by necessity need to attend the knowledge centre on campus on a regular basis. Nevertheless it is possible to arrange to work remotely for a small portion of their working hours subject to operational requirements and the agreement of their line manager as outlined in the Hybrid and Flexible working policy.
