Assist Op/Blend Line

The Assistant Operator/Blend Line Operator is a hybrid position.

It is an Assistant Operator that can works closely with the Lead Production Operator but also perform responsibilities of a Blend line operator as needed.

Blend line:

All positions require to follow company safety processes and procedures including but not limited to LO/TO. (Lock out/Tag Out)

Ensure that specified fiber is placed at the correct specified blend line hopper/dispenser in accordance to AMACON the in-house blend line verification system.

Ensure knowledge of all grades on WTB master blend along with their fiber content for each assigned production line.

Ensure the identification of all fiber types on WTB inventory location and per pound price of each.

Ensure the raw materials are visually acceptable in accordance to the customer specification.

Ensure production records are completed and turned in to management for each order produced during the shift.

Ensure identification of all mechanical and electrical parts of blend-line.

Ensure 100% knowledgeability of Blend-line Amacon system and every function related.

Ensure department remains clean. Cleaning documentation should be completed to show verification of cleaning.

Ensure raw materials are available for operations on incoming shift.

Ensure all nonconformance materials/issues are communicated to management and are documented on production records. These materials also should be segregated.

Understand production requirements for each product and the importance of maintaining a level of 85% to 100% production efficiency.

Learn and understand the importance of first grade prime fiber and the revenue impact it has when converted to Regar.

Assistant Operator

Operates the assigned production line and associated production equipment to ensure customer requirements are met.

Monitors card and cross lapper bale feeders vibrafeeds conveyors oven and guillotine. Performs blend checks makes minor process adjustments. Assists in performing preventive maintenance on equipment.

Performs visual inspection of fiber and finished rolls. Assists in start up operations.

Offloads and weighs finished rolls. Wraps and packages product. Disposes of product waste.

May provide training assistance.

Conforms to the appropriate documentation work instructions work orders etc. for loading of raw materials labeling packaging inspection and removal of process waste.

Maintains equipment by performing and documenting selected maintenance of production line and associated equipment.

Safety is #1. Follows ALL Safety processes and procedures.

Maintains good housekeeping and workplace organization.

Ensures proper control accounting reporting and preservation of raw material WIP and finished goods inventory in accordance with established procedures work instructions and practices.
