ZINIO is looking for aSenior Data & Analytics Specialistin their Barcelona office.

About Zinios Data & Analytics Team:
Were a close-knit multidisciplinary team driving data-informed decisions across Zinio. With a lean structure every member wears multiple hatsdata engineering one day data science the next and exploring LLM-driven automation after that. If you thrive on variety and continuous learning youll fit right in.
What youll do:
- End-to-End Data Work: Design develop and maintain ETL pipelines in Databricks (PySpark) using the Delta protocol.
- Analytics & Modeling: Build train and productionize ML models (scikit-learn TensorFlow/PyTorch).
- Data Engineering: Containerize tasks (Docker AWS Fargate); manage data storage & access in AWS (S3 EC2 Lambda Athena IAM).
- Automation & Orchestration: Schedule and monitor workflows with Apache Airflow.
- Data Retrieval & Integration: Pull data from RESTful APIs and AWS endpoints.
- Visualization & Insights: Craft dashboards and reports in Looker to inform stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Translate business requirements into technical solutions; present findings to cross-functional teams.
- AI/LLM Exploration: Prototype and integrate AI-driven tooling and LLM-based automations to streamline processes.
- Databricks Ecosystem: Leverage Unity Catalog Databricks SQL MLflow integration and other components of the Databricks platform.
Skills & Experience:
- Python Proficiency: Expert in data wrangling ML libraries and AWS SDKs.
- PySpark Experience: Hands-on with Databricks for large-scale ETL and Delta Lake.
- SQL Mastery: Design optimize and troubleshoot complex queries.
- AWS Savvy: Comfort with core services (S3 EC2 Lambda Athena IAM) and best practices.
- Containerization: Experience with Docker and AWS Fargate.
- ML Fundamentals: Solid grasp of algorithms model training evaluation and deployment.
- AI/LLM Awareness: Able to leverage pre-built models and APIs for automation tasks.
- Workflow Orchestration: Practical Airflow knowledge.
- Version Control: Git fluency.
- Business Acumen: Strong communicator who can partner with stakeholders and translate business needs into data solutions.
- Adaptability: Self-starter happy to rotate through engineering science and AI roles as priorities shift.
Nice-to-Have:
- Looker dashboard development
- Experience with Athena query optimization and cost management
- Experience with MLOps tooling (e.g. MLflow SageMaker)
- Familiarity with Docker Compose or Kubernetes
