The mission of the Illinois Council on Developmental Disabilities (ICDD) is We help lead change in Illinois so all people with developmental disabilities exercise their right to equal opportunity and freedom. We are seeking to hire a Developmental Disabilities Compliance Program Specialist to help us achieve this mission by overseeing a portfolio of projects dedicated to individual and family advocacy and systems change. Additionally the incumbent will be instrumental in assisting ICDD in implementing the goals and objectives within the 5-Year State Plan.

The Illinois Council on Developmental Disabilities (ICDD) engages in advocacy and other activities to create systems change that will allow individuals with developmental disabilities to participate fully in their communities. Our governing board is comprised of a majority of people with developmental disabilities and their families and has a mission that is guided by federal law. ICDD invests in organizations and agencies to demonstrate new approaches in services and supports for people with developmental disabilities and collaborates with State and local agencies to make changes in the system that help people with developmental disabilities live their lives in the community as they choose.
