Job Duties:Conducts inspections of retail food establishments restaurants sewage systems and waste disposal facilities to ensure compliance with the State Sanitary Code and protect public health.
Oversees inspections of institutions such as schools prisons day care centers and nursing homes to verify sanitary living conditions and enforce health regulations.
Leads complaint investigations related to unsanitary conditions and public health nuisances ensuring timely resolution and regulatory compliance.
Manages parish-wide Sanitarian Services using data tracking systems to monitor productivity prepare reports and ensure program goals are met.
Coordinates emergency response efforts for events such as floods hurricanes and contamination incidents including after-hours and weekend fieldwork when needed.
Collaborates with public officials and community groups providing expert guidance on environmental health concerns and promoting awareness of program policies and objectives.
