Lead / Principal Process Engineer

Profile Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced and results-driven Principal Lead Process Engineer with over 10 years of experience in delivering complex multi-disciplinary engineering projects. Proven ability to lead process engineering teams drive technical excellence and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee process engineering activities across all project phasesfrom concept to commissioning.
  • Manage and mentor a team of process engineers ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to project timelines.
  • Interface with clients project managers and other discipline leads to align engineering scope and execution strategy.
  • Approve and validate process design documents simulations and calculations using tools such as Aspen HYSYS UniSim or similar.
  • Manage process safety through active participation in HAZOP LOPA SIL and other risk assessments.
  • Implement and enforce change control procedures ensuring budget and schedule impacts are clearly communicated and managed.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the process discipline promoting innovation and operational efficiency.
  • Support business development and proposal efforts by contributing technical expertise and estimating discipline scope.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemical Engineering (Chartered Engineer status preferred).
  • 10 years of experience in process engineering with at least 5 years in a lead role within EPC/EPCM environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of cross-discipline interfaces (Mechanical Piping EC&I Civil Automation).
  • Expertise in process simulation design and safety engineering.
  • Excellent leadership communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic mindset with a clear vision for transitioning into engineering management.
