Job Summary:
This role involves maintaining and operating various hospital plant equipment including electrical generators boilers HVAC systems and water treatment systems. The Stationary Engineer is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of this equipment performing preventative maintenance and responding to emergencies. Adherence to safety regulations and HIPAA compliance is critical.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain and operate electrical generators boilers HVAC equipment and water treatment systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all plant equipment.
- Accurately monitor plant activity and equipment status documenting readings and completing required forms and logs.
- Safely mix and handle materials used in water treatment.
- Plan daily workload and ensure completion of preventative maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and orderly central plant.
- Respond appropriately to emergency codes.
- Maintain a safe physical environment for guests and coworkers.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding patient information confidentiality.
- Ensure a safe patient environment and adherence to safety practices.
- Assign evening and weekend shift work as needed.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- LA City Steam Engineers Unlimited License.
- LA City Fire Card (within 2 weeks of employment).
- 2 years of experience in a hospital power plant.
- Knowledge of hazardous materials (HVAC and boiler systems).
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
