Electrical Superintendent - Data Center (Core MEP)

About the Role
Were seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead field execution for a hyperscale data center building. The ideal candidate brings deep MEP expertise with a heavy electrical focus hands-on leadership on $500M hyperscale projects and a track record with large GCs in the data center space.
Key Responsibilities
Field Leadership: Plan sequence and supervise all electrical field activities (MV/LV distribution switchgear UPS generators busway PDU/RPP grounding lighting fire alarm controls EPMS/BMS).
Schedule & Cost Control: Build and drive look-ahead schedules; coordinate manpower equipment and material delivery to maintain milestones and budgets.
Trade Coordination (MEP): Lead daily coordination with mechanical plumbing controls and low-voltage trades; run pull-planning and constraint removal.
Quality & Commissioning: Enforce QA/QC review submittals/IFC drawings oversee testing (IR megger relay testing) start-up/energization integrated systems testing (IST) and turnover.
Safety Leadership: Champion zero-incident culture; conduct JHAs toolbox talks LOTO energized work permitting and NFPA 70E compliance.
Documentation: Maintain daily reports RFIs as-builts redlines inspection logs; support change events with quantity takeoffs and field impact narratives.
Owner/Design Interface: Partner with client design team Cx agent utilities and AHJs; support inspections and energization walkdowns.
Logistics: Direct laydown prefabrication deliveries material handling and just-in-time flow for high-security sites.
Required Qualifications
10 years of electrical construction experience with 5 years as Superintendent on large mission-critical projects.
Proven delivery on hyperscale data center builds; single-project value $500M (core/shell and fit-out).
Deep MEP background with expert knowledge of power distribution redundancy (N/N1/2N) critical systems sequencing and turnover.
Proficiency reading one-lines coordination drawings shop drawings and using BIM/VDC in the field.
Strong command of LEAN practices pull-planning and constraint management.
Safety credentials: OSHA 30; working knowledge of NFPA 70E LOTO and energized work protocols.
Excellent communication and leadership across owners design teams and trade partners.
Preferred (Bonus)
State/Master Electrician license (any state) or Louisiana familiarity.
Experience with startup/commissioning workflows and integrated systems testing (IST) on mission-critical campuses.
Tools: Procore BIM 360/ACC Navisworks P6/Lookahead tools Bluebeam.
Education
HS diploma or equivalent required; technical/trade school or Electrical Engineering/Technology a plus.
