Job Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Drive contract manufacturer preparation for pre-production builds. Develop document optimize and validate production process to ensure product is being ramped with utmost quality yield and cost efficiency. Develop and implement new technologies and tools to improve production quality capacity and efficiency. Set standard practices and independently settles impact to design approaches and parameters to the final product. Provide direction mentorship and resources to other engineering groups and project leaders as well as factory technicians. Act as an Operations lead on a variety of projects and participates in the project planning of major sub-projects. Perform assignments in manufacturing engineering functions including design for manufacturability product engineering process engineering and failure and data analysis. Provide product Mass production qualification criteria and milestones compiling data and making recommendations for product design changes and final assembly. International Travel Required 20%. 40 hours/week. At Apple base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $142293 - $193800/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills qualifications experience and location. - Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Manufacturing Industrial Mechanical Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
- Experience and/or education must include:
- Performing risk analysis using PFMEA and risk matrices to identify risks and provide mitigations.
- Working in a high-volume technology manufacturing module integration injection molding and process development.
- Managing cross functional engineering quality process and purchasing teams to drive convergence on high-risk products.
- Utilizing lean manufacturing principles and driving continuous improvement initiatives both internally and externally at the vendor.
- Timeline experience using detailed Gantt charts including tracking and scrubbing long lead time materials and equipment to enable bring up of manufacturing lines ahead of new product launches.
- Working Value Add and Value Engineering principles to drive efficiency and cost reduction in both product and processes.
- Tracking and managing input and output inventory at both a factory and process level using I/O tracker enabling healthy supply to downstream customers.
