Job DescriptionTitle:Instrumental Woodwind Music InstructorReports To: PrincipalEvaluated By: PrincipalPosition Function/Job Purpose: The Tri-Town School Union prides itself on a flourishing Instrumental Music Program within the three towns of Boxford Middleton and Topsfield. We are currently looking for an experienced Woodwind Instructor to teach Woodwind lessons at the Howe-Manning School for grades 4-6. The position is approved for up to 5 hours per ideal candidate will have experience teaching both private and small-group woodwind lessons. They should have professional playing experience and have knowledge of age-appropriate pedagogy for beginning Director of Instrumental Music at each school will have a collaborative and supportive relationship with the Woodwind :Experience teaching private lessonsExperience teaching groups both heterogenous and homogenousProfessional experience playing - would like them to playPhysical Requirements:Ability to move all equipment. Be physically and emotionally capable of carrying-out responsibilities and duties in a busy computerized environment. This position requires sustained physical activity such as sitting at a desk for several hours a day hand/wrist movement as in writing or using a computer keyboard/mouse. Other activities may include moderate to frequent exertion in body movements such as reaching bending and twisting.
