Job Description

Job DescriptionTitle:Instrumental Woodwind Music InstructorReports To: PrincipalEvaluated By: PrincipalPosition Function/Job Purpose: The Tri-Town School Union prides itself on a flourishing Instrumental Music Program within the three towns of Boxford Middleton and Topsfield. We are currently looking for an experienced Woodwind Instructor to teach Woodwind lessons at the Howe-Manning School for grades 4-6. The position is approved for up to 5 hours per ideal candidate will have experience teaching both private and small-group woodwind lessons. They should have professional playing experience and have knowledge of age-appropriate pedagogy for beginning Director of Instrumental Music at each school will have a collaborative and supportive relationship with the Woodwind :Experience teaching private lessonsExperience teaching groups both heterogenous and homogenousProfessional experience playing - would like them to playPhysical Requirements:Ability to move all equipment. Be physically and emotionally capable of carrying-out responsibilities and duties in a busy computerized environment. This position requires sustained physical activity such as sitting at a desk for several hours a day hand/wrist movement as in writing or using a computer keyboard/mouse. Other activities may include moderate to frequent exertion in body movements such as reaching bending and twisting. Vision Requirements include the ability to read routine and complex documents and to use a Environment: Be able to work in a close environmentBe able to work in moderately noisy environmentBe able to handle frequent interruptions
