Job Description

GENERAL FUNCTION: Shop Labor is responsible for a variety of tasks including material handling pulling and organizing materials per the Bill of Materials (BOM). The individual may also assist in fabricating gate frames and ensure proper housekeeping of the shop yard and vehicles.

REPORTS TO: Shop Leader

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Fabricate gate frames based on provided specifications
  • Pick and organize materials from the shop and yard according to the BOM using forklifts cranes or manually when necessary.
  • Cut pipes and load onto trucks and trailers in an efficient and safe manner ensuring proper load size and weight distribution
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop yard and delivery vehicles.
  • All other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • All roles are required to be on site at their assigned location daily to perform their role.
  • This position requires the ability to stand walk lift squat bend twist climb and reach above the shoulders on a regular basis.
  • Position requires the ability to lift/carry up to 50lbs on a regular basis and use various shop equipment and tools (including but not limited to ladders carts pallet jacks etc.).
  • Equipment must always be used in a safe manner.
  • Shop teammates who are trained in use of the forklift drive the forklift as a primary/essential duty and/or are back-up forklift operators must have current training and always use the equipment safely.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
