We are currently looking for aSenior Sales Manager/Sales Manager:

As aSales Manager we rely on you to:
- To be familiar with all Shangri-Las hotel policies and procedures.
- To be well-versed with the facilities and services offered by the hotel.
- To master all kinds of room rate (published rate contract rate) and physical attributes breakdown/configuration benefits and amenities etc.
- Directs to all sales activities to all Sales Staff to ensure that they meet the goal of the Marketing plan.
- Attends major travel functions and promotional events to promote sales for the hotel.
- Establishes and maintains files on major hotel accounts he/she has established in the hotel and assists Director of Sales / Director of Business Development in maintaining the sales filing system.
- Promotes and produces leads for other Shangri-La Hotels.
- Plans and executes sales trip to major market areas and reports to the Director of Marketing / Assistant Director of Sales on new potential market areas that should be covered.
- Analyses market changes and under the direction of the Director of Sales & Marketing / Director of Sales implements programs with the sales department to meet these changes ie. Changes brought about by political. Economic or competitive changes in the market place.
- Assists in the execution of familiarization site inspection trips to hotels major clients.
- Assists in implementation of effective sales systems and procedures that ensure efficient execution of all group meetings and function and provides for the efficient functions of the hotel local sales efforts over all.
- Responsible for dissemination of sales related information to other department as appropriate.
- Meets with all influential clients and ensures that pre and post conference meetings are conduct by meeting service department to provide effective communications and feedback regard to client needs.
- Maintains a high level of exposure for the hotel in major market areas through direct sales solicitation telephone fax telex contact and written communications.
- Supervises Sales Incentive Plan. Providing all participants with regular updates on performance.
- Overseeing and monitor the progress of secretary/client incentive scheme.
- Attends DOS in planning/executing department training program where appropriate
- Attends all pre-conference meetings as required arranged by the Meeting Service Department and assists in the preparation of post-conference reports.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner.
- Establishes and maintains effective relations.
- Maintains a professional business confidentiality.
- Ensures staff when performing their duties are in accordance with the Hotels Guiding Principles.
