BluePearl Specialty Emergency Pet Hospital is hiring an extraordinary Cardiology Veterinary Technician!

Schedule: 7:00am - 5:00pm or 8:00am - 6:00pm Wednesday through Saturday (the cardiology team will be transitioning to Tuesday through Friday towards the end of the year)
Pay: $21.00 - $40.00 / hour
This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system.
As a Cardiology Veterinary Technician you will:
Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values.
Report patient signalment problem list and plan during nursing rounds.
Understand classification of commonly used medications associated side effects and appropriately monitor therapeutic response.
Administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.
Perform physical exams; accurately count heart rates pulse rates capillary refill time mucous membranes temperature respiratory rate and effort.
Possess a working knowledge of anesthesia/monitoring equipment and assist with patients assigned ASA I or II classifications.
Remain current on RECOVER CPR guidelines and demonstrates proficiency in designated role as assigned by attending clinician and/or supervisor.
