Job Description
Walton Medical Centre are looking for an experienced Heath Care Assistant to join their busy and rewarding medical centre. This role can be offeredon afull-time or part-time basis with flexibility on days and hours.
Walton is a walm and friendly Seaside Town surgery comprising of 2 Partners GPs ANPs Paramedic Social Prescriber PCN GP Care Advisor to name but a few. The practice is committed to the principles of the Improving Working Lives (IWL) Standards to provide a positive employment friendly approach to the delivery of their healthcare service.
Weare looking for someone who has experience of assisting patients with clinical requirements liaising with clinical staff for healthcare needs carrying out health checks and must have experience of using clinical systems.
About the Candidate
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and pro-active Health Care Assistant. The ideal candidate will have:
- A diploma in Health and Social Care Level 2
- Experience of working with and building up working relationships with GPs nursing and admin staff
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- The ability to work well on their own as well as working in a team
- A strong understanding of confidentiality.
About Us
In June 2017 The Colte Partnership was formed consisting of 9 local practices across Colchester and Tendring caring for approx. 95000 patients.
We also work as three collaborativePrimary Care Networks (PCNs) which span across Colchester and Tendring:
- Riverside Medical Centre & Ardleigh Surgery
- Mersea Island Medical Practice Tiptree Medical Centre & Rowhedge Medical Centre
- Walton Medical Centre Colne Medical Centre & Wivenhoe Medical Centre
There is a wide socio-economic and demographic served within this area which will provide an interesting and varied case mix. You will be joining an enthusiastic team of clinicians and administrators. You will be well supported with on-going professional development (training support CPD and peer support). The role will contribute to the improving quality of care of our patients across the network of practices.
