We are seeking a proactive public relations specialist with a flair for financial communication to join the Novo Nordisk Foundations PR team.

In this role you will be fully dedicated to promoting the activities of Novo Holdings the Foundations holding and investment company.

Novo Holdings is a world-leading life science investor with the purpose of improving peoples health and the sustainability of society and the planet by generating attractive long-term returns on the assets of the Novo Nordisk Foundation.

As an investor Novo Holdings is committed to better healthcare and a greener future and invests to promote groundbreaking solutions in healthcare and bio-sustainability. Investment subsectors include biotech MedTech Pharma Services Planetary Health Life Science Tools and Diagnostics and much more.

This role will play a key part in building Novo Holdings brand and increasing awareness of our activities among key stakeholders in Denmark and internationally including the investment community biotech companies academia and the financial sector. The successful candidate will primarily support communications relating to our Seed and Venture Investment activities in Europe.

The Job
The role offers a mix of ongoing strategic projects and day-to-day operational tasks. It encompasses a broad range of PR and communications responsibilities including:

  • Drafting and distributing press releases
  • Engaging with Danish and international media (primarily across Europe)
  • Planning and delivering PR events
  • Acting as a communications partner to our investment teams
  • Managing external contributors such as PR agencies photographers and videographers

About the Team
The position sits within the Corporate Affairs Department of the Novo Nordisk Foundation and specifically within its Public Relations team which supports both the Foundation and Novo Holdings.

While the focus of this role is on Novo Holdings the wider team comprises nearly 30 colleagues primarily based in Copenhagen with additional communications professionals in Brussels Boston and Singapore. Together the department oversees Public Relations Public Affairs Branding and Design Digital Media and more.

Your 10 colleagues in the PR team are structured around individual areas of responsibility and collaborative projects fostering a dynamic and supportive working environment.

Professional and personal qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who brings:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience from fulltime roles where public relations & media relations have been the main area of responsibility
  • Experience working with international media
  • Experience with financial communications e.g. communication regarding capital raises and investment-related news
  • Experience in communicating about life sciences such as biotech or pharmaceuticals to a broader audience will be considered an advantage.
  • Fluency in English both written and spoken
  • A flair for digital communications with the ability to create high-quality content for websites and social media
  • Experience with issues management

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Outgoing and confident when engaging with journalists and media professionals
  • Flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift frequently
  • Detail-oriented and capable of handling both high-level strategic projects and day-to-day operational tasks such as translations Q&As and media briefings
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with colleagues across departments and geographies.
  • Diligent in fact-checking and confident in communicating complex information including financial figures
  • Comfortable navigating complexity and multiple stakeholder agendas
