Postdoctoral Researcher for the Sinergy CBR Project
Location: Monterrey Campus

What will you do
You will carry out the Sinergy CBR project: A novel laser-based platform for unraveling fluidalgae interactions toward optimal CO capture. Your work will include building the experimental setup to trap algal cells using dark focus optical tweezers and studying the impact of fluid pressure and shear fluctuations on the trapped cells.
- Design of the experimental setup related to the Sinergy CBR project
- Construction and execution of experiments in the areas of optics and fluid mechanics
- Analysis and interpretation of experimental data
- Contribution to scientific publications
- Participation in scientific conferences
- Be a role model in promoting our code of ethics and practicing a leadership style focused on human flourishing
Your main challenges will be:
- Trapping algal cells with dark focus optical tweezers
- Analyzing cell behavior within the dark focus optical tweezers
- Studying the impact of pressure fluctuations on the trapped cell
- Studying the impact of shear fluctuations on the trapped cell
What are we looking for
- PhD in Optics or Fluid Mechanics
- Minimum English level: B2
