Job Summary

Job Description

General Facilities Security & Safety work focuses on deterring crime and protecting an organizations property assets.

Responsibilities
Personal/electronic surveillance securing premises and personnel by patrolling property inspecting buildings equipment and access points
Coordinating and administering security clearances
Preventing losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures and evicting trespassers
Investigating loss control and accident reports
Responding to requests for safety/security assistance from employees
May perform first aid if required
May coordinate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary

Qualifications
high school diploma
5 years of experience

May be required to apply discretion within broad operational boundaries and procedures

Explains practices procedures and policies in order to reach agreement

Responsible for making minor changes in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of team

Daily challenges are difficult but not complex and may require some analysis to understand and resolve
Leadership & Talent Management
Responsible for providing guidance coaching and training to other employees within team
Knowledge & Experience
Requires broad knowledge of operational systems and practices typically obtained through work experience or education
Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience. May require vocational or technical education
