Overview:
Equities Technology solve some of the most interesting and complex challenges in the financial industry to help our global business and its customers succeed. Purpose of the Job:
Working as part of the front office team the candidate should be a Unix and shell scripting expert and have a detailed working knowledge of the Java and sql.
It is also expected for the candidate work on production support issues (via a rota) and be involved in improvements on automation and dev ops.
Responsible For:
Building low latency processes and scalable archietecture led solutions Such as Order and Trade Management systems Post Trade Systems Exchange and Liquidity Provider connectivity platforms. Maintain platform stability by applying DevOps principles and robust production support practices.
Major Challenges:
Helping to build out the next generation of Equities order and trade management platform
ESSENTIAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS (Experience skills competencies etc)
Must be well versed with Cloud PaaS components with hands on experience in at lease one cloud provider.
Should be open to experiment and learn new technologies / skills with evolving needs of project.
Hands on with any one of the following programming language / paradigm Object Oriented (java) Scripting (Python / Shell Scripting)
Ability to crunch and analyze data for functional purposes.
Must have strong knowledge in DevOps tooling.
Must have experience with one of the data streaming technologies like flinksparkdataflow
Google Cloud Kubernates and PaaS exposure with Google is Nice to have.
NON-ESSENTIAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS (Experience skills competencies etc)
Critical thinking and ability to adapt.
Experience with Equities Trading Stack
Demonstrated Problem solving duing production incidents.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION (KPIs travel etc)
You are an excellent communicator and are comfortable communicating directly with the Sales/Trading Desk and internal Technology teams and are able to range up and down the detail depending on your audience.
You will handle all phases of development (requirements gathering/analysis through to implementation) establishing solid relationships and trust built on proven delivery.
